We are planning a big family trip to Iceland to fall over New Year next winter, there will be about 15 of us staying in 3 cabins. What sort of clothing is best to wear for both kids and adults- we will be mostly spending time around the cabins, I will have a 3 year old, 5 year old and 8 year old. Is ski wear the best plan- base layer, fleece and jacket? Or is there another way to stay warm and dry and play in the snow if indeed it does snow and not rain.
Also, a few of the party want to go to the New Years fireworks in Reykjavik, is this suitable for small children? My middle is autistic and struggles with with crowds and loud noises so would need to be in a double buggy along with her younger brother, is this feasible with the crowds? We did Disney Florida's fireworks this way but there was a space for families and people with disabilities which made a huge difference.
Thanks!
