We're looking to go on a long awaited holiday but I'm getting bombarded by options when searching online for hotels. Does anyone have any recommendations on travel sites they've used to find decent hotels?

We're ideally looking to go to somewhere in the Caribbean (not set on a particular island .. expanding the search🤦🏻‍♀️) and ideally all inclusive.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated!

i usually use jet2 for all inclusive or kayak for a more general search x

We start by looking at the hotels the package tour companies use - if only to eliminate them.

However, BA can have some good deals & hotels that others do not have.

Then search expedia & lastminute; we've found that trivago & travel republic can be a lot pricier for the same flight+hotel option.

Also, an independent High St travel agent might have some ideas. I went into our local one just to pick their brains (intending to book online anyway). They not only found precisely what we wanted, it was cheaper than doing it ourselves.

We narrow it down ; location is very important to us, then check Trip Advisor. Too good & the reviews are written by the owners' family, too bad & they're written by a rival - read between the lines.

Happy hunting!

I use hotels.com a lot, and look for hotels near where I want to go.

Then check the rest of the web to find cheaper deals.

A lot of the sites are the same site with different front pages.

If you book a room through hotels.com or bookings.com they are booked through Expedia.com you can try going to the hotels direct but booking online is a bit like a game of roulette one day you might get a real bargain the next day the price could double.

I usually use a collection of hotel booking sites from travelsites.com/booking-sites/. It is very convenient to check one source instead of the pages of results. And I always find good deals there. Hope it helps!

Skyscanner for flights, Expedia, Booking and Last-minute for hotels.
If you start searching on Expedia and Booking, their algorithms will start sending you offers.

I use trip advisor to find well rated hotels and then compare the prices on the main sites.
BA holidays definitely come in cheaper than hotel and flight if booked separately but that’s for short haul.
Join Top Cash Back as most of the big websites offer discounts through them. Here’s my link as I get money back on referral www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/revealall
