So far I’ve brought speedoes for ds and dh. Do I have to notify my car insurance?? I am currently with Tesco Bank and have AA breakdown but not sure if this covers me abroad. I feel totally unprepared for this trip help!!

Dad has a diesel car needs it as it’s better for towing the caravan that we take down to Brittany every year. No issues with not being allowed to take it anywhere afaik

There are some cities where you need a sticker and there can be a problem with older vehicles. Explained in detail here.

You should be fine in Brittany unless you are in an elderly diesel car, there is a pollution emergency and you wanted to visit Rennes.

Yeah the French are very...rigid about meal times. We kept trying to get lunch at 3ish when we were away last week and just nowhere was serving and all the shops are shut. It's really annoying. It seems the whole country has to coordinate its hunger at a certain time or else it ain't happening!

I seem to remember that it's illegal to have the alerts on your sat nav or phone that tells you where the speed cameras are - might be worth checking?
