Just wondered if you had been on a Keycamp type holiday before (I know you are going on one this year) and if so, do they have cafetieres in the mobile homes? (Dh is a coffee ponce also )

Thanks!

Think I will take my cances with the one provided....

Do people tend to dress up a bit in the evning or stay in their shorts/t-shirts?

Any dress is dressing up for me! Don't think we will be going "out" much in the evenings anyway - ds2 is too mad at the moment to make it anything but a stressful occasion....

Sorry, another question!

The website says to take sheets and pillowcases - obviously I'll be taking those but we are duvet kind of people - what is usually provided? (if it's blankets I'm going to have to go out and buy some top flat sheets...or would a sleeping bag be easier?)

Underblanket???

God, I wasn't planning on taking duvets with us.

Reason I would need to buy top sheets is I don't usually use top sheets if I'm using a duvet (is that unusual??) Top sheet with thin bedspread in summer for us but kids just have light duvets (with covers on obviously...)

Slightly off topic, but I am considering becoming a coffee ponce so I can have one of these. I fact I covet the whole range. I probably need to get a life.

KTeePee · 05/08/2007 13:32

Mmmm looks nice but wouldn't be a pain to clean out every time? Cafetieres are bad enough imo....

When in France I'm planning to buy one of these things to take home

rofl at wee thing

cafetiere not as good as this

you can get filter bag things that are reusable and look like icing bags

maybe less wasteful than disposable filters

The coffee jug in my link comes with a neoprene jacket thing to keep the coffee warm. I do like those steam coffee makers, especially if you have a range and they just sit there perking and making little bubbly sounds. But I usually on make proper coffee at the weekends so I think I would have to keep cleaning it to stop the coffee from being bitter.

KTeePee · 06/08/2007 12:01

I've got one of those Moka type ones too - given to me as a present - but I've never got around to trying it out (secretly worried I'll blow up the house in the process!)

But can I drag this thread back to bedding for a bit - looking at old threads on the Vendee, it seems that lots of people bring duvets or sleeping bags with them - does it really get that cold at night? Here in the UK I just have a sheet plus bedspread at the most during the summer....

You don't need to buy flat top sheets - just take a duvet cover!
