We went today & had a really good time & what's more its free (only charge is the multi-story). DS (4) loved all the armour & swords (although I tried to steer him away from all the guns etc !).
Some great demonstrations too including horseriding skills & swordfights

(& hunky blokes in costumes for me )

Might give it a thought for half term as ds would love it, not so sure about dd or me tho

We went to this pre-kids when it has just opened, and were very impressed, particularly me as I have no interest in weapons whatsoever and expected to hate it! I'm pleased to hear they still have lots of demos and drama, as that really made it for me.

Thus far I have always hesitated taking dss as they tend to go a bit loopy in the presence of weapons, but maybe we should give it a try.

On a similar note - DON'T take little kids to Eden Camp.

My mum and dad took the boys there in the summer, and ds2 (5) was terrified ... still talks in hushed tones of "The War" and the hut which was rigged up to simulate being in a house during the Blitz!

I think the demos were the best bit (& not just for the men in tights !). Also DS loved the horse armour & the other big displays. There are also quite a few touch screen computer progs too - quizzes & things that were a hit.
The restaurant food was quite nice too - although I have to say the coffee was dreadful !
