I've tried the wilkinet website but the server seems to be broken ... hopefully it'll be up and running later, but I need to be able to use the Wilkinet on Monday!! HELP!!

Tranquila - thanks anyway ... and talking of cuties, I've just looked at your pics. You have very beautiful children. Pat yourself on the back please, lady

When dh gets home, I'm sure we'll work it out together, using your superb directions. We have got a baby bjorn being loaned to us but not sure if I'll get my grubby paws on it before Mon. Besides, I am like a stubborn dog and want to get my head round the WIlks. It is so soft and nice to stroke.

I never could suss it out well. Sold mine on pretty quickly because it was so tricky to get the newborn in and out of quickly, tbh, although I think they'd be good is you were carrying the baby about for a long period of time.

But I got on better w/the Coorie.

dont want to be negative... but i agree with expat. takes too long and cant get the bubs in and out quickly enough.

im an Ergo devotee now.
when he gets bigger you definately need one of those. (course, would be good now too )
i carried my 18mo on a trek across fields and over gates etc w the 3&4yo in tow today... not even a twitch of back pain and all other carriers hurt me, even with a tiny baby in.

i have replied to your email, and will pop insturctions in the post. hope you and your dh have managed to work it out. both by dp and myself have used the wilkinet for all three of our boys, it was a godsend when they were little as they were really clingy and hated being put down. they were also big babies, all over 9lb t birth and on the 99th percentile etc and the wilkinet meant no back ache.

i did try a variety of other slings, including the ergo and a ring sling but the wilkinet was by far the most comfortable, the only downside i found wasnt being able to breastfeed them when they are in it.

it does take a bit of practise but its worth it, once you have mastered it you can do it with your eyes closed, it looks fiddly and i always used to laugh at people who would offer to 'help' me put it on, lol they would end up in knots plus i dont know if you can still get them but the wilkinet woman used ot make a range of clothes in a similar soft cord material, little dungarees etc, they were soooooo cute

Thanks 3mad. I think I'll persevere with the W and see how we get on - it was given to me by a friend who has 3 children and she swore by it. It seems not too complicated to get on (Maybe tis just the fabulous instructions I've had ) I just need to make sure I've got the positioning right so it is as comfy as poss.
Thank you again
and if anyone starts stalking me you'll be in the frame
