Going to Seville for 3 nights in May half term with DD (13) and DD (11). What should we definitely do? Any restaurant recommendations please? Thank you

Alcazar palace - book online to avoid the Q. It also quite cool there in the gardens and it will be pretty warm in May. I also loved seeing the old Tobacco Factory that featured in the opera Carmen (I’m a big fan). We walked past the bullring, not my cuppa but DS was fascinated. We also liked walking by the river and eating lunch down there
You should go to a Flamenco show too, it’s pretty cheesy and touristy but should be done
Lucky you, I love Seville

We didn’t go in the cathedral but the area around it is pretty lively and with a visit anyway

You can hire boats on Plaza de España
The Flamenco Museum is the best place to catch a flamenco show.
Isla Magica is in an area called La Cartuja and it is culturally themed. As well as roller coasters and the water rides, there are also family friendly shows that the whole family can enjoy.
Take a carriage ride around the city. You’ll find lots of them waiting near the cathedral.
It’s fun to explore Las Setas (the mushrooms) at Plaza de la Encarnación, easily walkable from the centre of town. Try and We visit in the evening when Seville really comes to life. There’s a winding walkway that takes you around the whole structure so you see over most of Seville.

We did an open top bus tour which gives you a good sense of where everything is.

I agree with Hopping, all the arena around the Alcazar and cathedral is lovely for a wander round.

Also go to the Plaza de Espana and the park - we took rowing boats out there with the DCs which they enjoyed.

It’s a lovely city, hope you enjoy it.

We were there in September.

We went to the parasol first as it has great views from the top.

We did the usual Alcazar, cathedral and Plaza de Espana - all fab. We also walked to Triana to the market and for a browse in the ceramic shops.

Best restaurants we found were Las Teresas and El Rinconcillo. Yes, everyone says go to El Rinconcillo, but it's really good fun and very authentic!

Was there end of March.
Second Las Seats, it’s €3 each for adults.
Plaza de Espana is worth a look, for the ornate tiling but you’ll be done in 30 mins. Wouldn’t bother hiring a boat personally.
If you take a sprig of lavender from a local around any of the tourist sites they’ll expect a couple of Euros.
Cathedral looks very impressive, queues too big to get in on spec so book online if you can.
There’s places to eat everywhere, everyone does tapas, to recommend anywhere is to risk missing out on a gem somewhere else.

Will go back for sure.

Wait till the kids are asleep, get Dh to look after them, slip off to the moorish baths for a massage!

Free walking tours are an excellent way to see a new city. The tour guide will also give you recommendations for restaurants etc

The cathedral (as an atheist I still found it really interesting) and the alcazar are both worth doing. The Plaza Espana was ok but I was only there for a day and could have skipped that part and not missed much. Same with the Toro del Oro although I just walked past it while doing a river stroll anyway. There is a poster shop near the bullring (I think it's called Felix) which is really cool for something different.
