Sweden and money

I am travelling to Sweden for a holiday in August. When I have been before I have taken cash but on the last two visits I have found that more and more places are becoming card only. This has lead to high bank charges back home.
My question is can anybody recommend a prepaid card that is good value and accepted in Sweden?

I've recently heard of Monzo and Revolut. I don't have personal experience, but have heard good things from friends.

Thank you, I will give those a look.

To be clear, these are more bank accounts/apps than prepaid cards, but they offer a lot of benefits such as low exchange rates. Here is a link I found comparing the two: www.icomparefx.com/revolut-vs-monzo/

Starling Bank is another alternative. The main difference is that Monzo charge for cash withdrawals above £200 a month, while Starling don't.

This won't be an issue in more or less cash free Sweden, but in other countries that still use a lot of cash, this could be limiting.

Starling at least, you can set yourself up and running with a card and an account, all done via the app, in a few days.

I've switched to them from Halifax Clarity, after using that card for years, but a lot of places I go charge extra for credit cards but not debit cards or cash, so it's better that way.

I have a Monzo - it doesn't charge so I just use it everywhere (recently the Maldives and Germany and it just acts like a normal card

Thank you all very much.

Would agree with Starling Bank. Brilliant
