I’m traveling first time with easy jet and confused on the cabin allowance. I’ve bought 2 x 23kg for hold luggage.

2 adults
1 child
1 infant

I’m being told difference things what’s right?

  1. 3 x Cabin Bags & 1 baby changing bag + Pushchair

  2. 4 x Cabin bags, 1 baby changing bag + Pushchair

  3. 1 Cabin Bag, 3 small bags which can fit under a seat, baby changing bag + Pushchair.

Which one is correct if any?
I’m travelling beginning of next week and so confused.

Many thanks

Have you paid extra for priority boarding? If not it is one cabin bag per seat holder.

I think it is #1. The cabin bag could be a handbag or a mini case but you are only allowed 1 per traveller. Baby doesn't count as a traveller but you are allowed a changing bag for baby.

My guess would be 3x cabin bags, 1x changing bag and a pushchair.

"Infants with booked seats and children over 2 years old have the same cabin bag and hold luggage allowance as adults.

If you’re travelling with an infant who will be seated on your lap, only an additional baby changing bag is allowed for the infant (45x36x20cm) this must be placed under the seat in front of you. If the infant is occupying their own seat they are allowed a cabin bag plus a changing bag (45x36x20 cm)"

www.easyjet.com/en/help/boarding-and-flying/flying-with-children Up to 2 items of baby equipment, but these go in the hold.

3 x cabin bag, plus baby changing bag and pushchair which may be gate checked. Handbags must be small enough to fit in cabin bag.

I think it’s 1. It is helpful to have a bag that can fit under the seat in front though, at least for the stuff you need on the flight. There is not usually enough space for the cabin bags in the overhead lockers so they make you put them in the hold as you board the plane. Cue lots of decanting of stuff you need into a carrier bag at the last minute. This may be avoided by getting priority boarding but I’m too tight fisted for that!

With EJ you can do a "bag drop". You do have to pay (I think it is about 7quid) but it means you can drop a cabin size bag at the desk before you go through security so no worrying about liquids etc. Your bag gets a priority sticker and is one of the first off the carousel at the destination. You can still take a small bag on board with all your essentials and it means you can wait until the last minute to board as you aren't fretting about whether there will be locker space. We almost never check bags in, even long-haul, but I used this service the last time I flew and it was much nicer not lugging a rucksack around the airport.
