Child travelling with a grandparent advice

I've been abroad with my DD a couple of times and carried a signed consent letter from her DF (she has his surname) and her birth certificate. DD and I are going to Lanzarote in June with my DM but I have to fly back a couple of days earlier than we had planned, so now DM will be flying home with my DD aged 7. Just looking for advice on what evidence to provide so that passport control goes smoothly for them

A signed consent letter the same as if the child was travelling with only one parent etc should be fine.

Signed consent letter from you and the other parent. Photocopy of birth cert, as she has his name. Shows relationship link (might not be needed but useful)

Yeah a letters fine, my kids have been away with grandparents, different surname to either parent but they've always had a letter from myself and faced no issues

My DC have travelled out to Spain with their uncle.

Remember to include permission to give medical consent in your letter. I also included details of where they were staying (address).

I found a template online

Thanks all, great advice :) two consent letters. Forgot to add that I changed my surname by deed poll a couple of years ago, so I'll provide a copy of that as well as one of her birth certificate. Should I include a copy of mine in case of?
