Does this look enjoyable?

Does this look like an enjoyable holiday? I appreciate this is all subjective.

I have a 15 month old and pre baby would go on fairly different holidays to the one I have linked to such as Beirut, China, Western Australia. We have had European holidays but it would be more driving around Sicily type holidays.

Problem now is DH still thinks we can do the same type of holiday and that's because he has no idea what is involved with a little one. Plus we have no money because of child care so I don't want to scrimp and save to go on a holiday like the ones he is suggesting.

The idea of sitting on a pool/by the beach with a book while monitoring little one sounds bliss. I have never done all inclusive but having snacks on hand as well sounds great. Only thing is it seems a bit of a drive from the town.

My big issue is that I'm worried it is a bit cheesy? Once when younger I went to Sharm and honestly I really hated it! We didn't do all inclusive but it was just really tacky with lots of evening entertainment etc which we aren't into.

Has anyone been on a holiday like this?

Thanks

I've been on large hotel/all inc holidays when my dc were little and whilst I wouldn't choose them now, they were good for families. The one you've suggested looks pretty upmarket and everything will be brand new, which will help. It's also on a beach so you don't have to stay in the hotel, plus you could hire a car to go off exploring. How old will your little one be if and when you go? A friend of mine took her travelcot when her little one was at crawling stage and would park it under a parasol with some toys in to keep him contained!

Thanks @yearinyearout

Yes we will hire a car and you are right about the beach it is a good way to get away from the complex. He would be around 20 months at the time we go. I just need to convince DH who at the moment is refusing and being unreasonable and will probably do his own holiday at this rate

I'm similar to you, I never thought there would be a day I did AI but actually I did and I love it. We did it for our first holiday with our dd who was then 15 months. I didn't get to read a book but it was an easy holiday. I also liked not having to budget and could have a cocktail without worrying about the price.

We've only done AI since then and will probably do so until dcs are 7ish. Don't knock the kids entertainment - this is now vital for us as it wears dd out and we can all go to bed easily. She's also old enough for the kids club.

You're not tied to the hotel, if you have a car you can go out and explore (we don't hire a car but we always do a couple of sightseeing type things and a couple of lunches out).

Book a one bed room if possible.
