Eurostar with two year old

Hello, any handy tips for travelling on the Eurostar to Brussels with a two year old? It’s approximately 2hrs 10mins so I’m hoping she may sleep for some of it but really want to keep her entertained and quiet so we don’t bother other travellers.

I’ve got colouring books, crayons and reading books. My iPad is ancient so not upto the newest games so can’t rely on that.

Thanks in advance.

Keep an eye on seat bookings as you can move yourself up until the last minute, so you may be able to find an emptier carriage/section.
Take lots of snacks - there's no liquid restrictions. You could bring some wrapped toys so she has to unwrap them.
But I wouldn't worry about it too much. We've travelled with ours a few times and it's easy to walk up and down when they get bored, and we've never had people get too grumpy. There are often kids on board.

Two hours is a very manageable journey. Make sure your seat isn't in the quiet carriage, many other people will also have kids. Aside from what you're already taking, I do little boredom bags. It's mainly tiny toys, which I keep an eye out for in the charity shop for a few weeks before we go. Little characters and puzzles, that sort of thing. I squish them into a sandwich bag and the novelty of them normally keeps them going for a good half hour or so. We also buy a magazine with a toy on for them before long journeys. Tiger has some very good sticker games at about £2 a pop. If you can, download some episodes from I player and have some headphones ready. And snacks, all the snacks!

2 hours is fine, unlike planes you can go for a walk to the buffet car (it's rubbish food but wastes time) play I spy etc. The crayola magic books are good, a kids magazine (choose at st Pancras for maximum impact)
