Anyone fancy finding me a holiday (novice here)?

After a cold windy weekend away in the UK I cant face another cold uk holiday end of august (last week). We haven't been away abroad for years (and I still need to convince DH). Two DDs, 7 and 9. Beach/pool would be nice, happy with a mobile home/eurocamp. My initial searches are proving less than fruitful and flights biggest issue. Don't mind S/C but would like not to cook everyday.

If anyone fancies helping me look id be grateful - trying to do it for under 1,500 - big ask I know!

Where are you flying from?
We found some really reasonable flights (£110 return) going from Manchester to La Rochelle in France in August which is on the coast very near to a lovely island called Il de re with lots of campsites etc. But depends where you are flying from

I think you will struggle with that budget to be honest.

If you can fly from Scottish airports it might be cheaper as their schools have gone back. If you are in the south so this is more of a trek, you could look into driving to France instead and Eurocamping.

Another thing to try would be to put your requirements into the deals section of jet2holidays to see if there is anything suitable.

Self catering can be fine, as long as everyone does their share - DH can do just as much as you do, and DDs can wash up. Eat out as much as you can afford, and do easy meals the rest of the time.

I've found Mallorca expensive for eating out, so mainland Malta, Spain or the Canaries might be better on a budget, and it doesn't seem to cost more to get to the Canaries despite the much longer flight. I think Greece is also cheapish for eating out, especially if you go for local taverna type options.

We could fly from anywhere to be honest although nw or midlands would be best - will check out those suggestions thank you 🙏

Hi! This might be your lucky weekend! Visit www.bestchildfriendlyholidays/campsites. This weekend only there's a discount of up to 60% on Eurocamp Holidays, 30% in school summer holidays. You can drive to France, the roads are great and it will definitely keep your costs down. Have a great holiday!

EMA to Corfu on the 24th is coming in at just over £1000 with TUI. We have stayed at Valentinos apartments in Roda a few times and although it's basic it's cheap and fab!!! It has a pool with bar which dies snacks and a wee Greek night. Location is percent and you're a couple of minutes walk from resort centre, safe sandy beach, bars, restaurants etc. It's a family resort not an 18-30! You should be able to get a 2 bedroom apartment really cheap to come in around budget. If they are full, try Makeis studios/apartments, Elizabeth, Angelinas (no pool but basically right on another complex which lets you use the pool as long as you buy a drink or food). Go onto Corfu Forum on FB and ask for accommodation as there's loads of really cheap but basic around. Your dc will love it and so will you!

We're doing Portugal for less than that this year and last year did corsica for much less including car hire. So I can be done on your budget, however you may have left booking a bit late. X
