First package holiday/AI - what do I need to know?

We've never done a package or AI holiday before, but I fancied somewhere warm and easy. We are going to Tenerife in May. All booked through Jet2.

Does anyone have any advice about what to pack, what to do, etc, please?

Interesting about whether to restrict ice creams etc. My DD1 will happily eat her bodyweight in junk, so we probably do need ground rules.

I’ve never dressed up for dinner in Tenerife. Shorts and a t shirt or a sun dress is perfectly fine. My feet are never out of flip flops and I don’t bother with heels.

Siam Park take flip flops to wear around the park- the flooring gets boiling! Not an understatement, it is so hot you can not walk on it in bare feet and that was in April!
