I'm going under with the Facebook groups!

Dining reservations and fast track now live so we can get booking.

We are staying in Disney and have the dining plan.

What were your best bits?

Flight of avatar. Book it now!

We go in 2 days time. Staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Kids beyond excited.

Areyou on a dining plan? We have free counterservice meals x 2 and snacks x 2 - am planning on using mobile ordering alot in the parks to reduce the queueing time. Paying out of pocket to do Ohana Breakfast at the Polynesian (as the kids love Stitch) and Fantasmic dessert package. Booked both of these throughthe my disney experience (website way better than the app). Have done research thoroughly and got on and booked fast passes at 60 days, getting the kids to choose the rides they wanted (they watched alot of tim tracker on youtube to get ideas) - Flight of Passage, Soaring and Test track are the ones they all wanted to go on and thankfully we got those.

www.thedibb.co.uk is a great resource, disney food network great for info on food there and the Brits guide and unofficial guide to Disney guidebooks really good for formulating a plan.

We go in 42 days. I am so mad at myself for not doing the fast passes at 60 days. Flights of avatar totally booked up

Deadsexy - keep checking - looks like they randomly release batches of the fast passes for FOP

deadsexy · 02/04/2019 16:42

Thanks @dinkystinky will keep checking. Yes we have dining plan. Which restaurants have you booked? Most looking forward too?

We've done be our guest, Hollywood brown derby, and Crystal Palace character. Need some more recommendations, will get on the dibb later

we are on the QS dining plan (3 kids who arent too fussed about character meals) - though we are doing Ohana breakfast at the Polynesian as the youngest is a big stitch fan. Looking forward to trying Satuli Canteen, Yak n Yeti and Flame Tree Barbecue and exploring the Epcot Flower and Garden food stalls though.

Can't seem to find yak and yeti in the App. Seem that recommended a few times.

Just checked on dining reservations - its definitely there - Yak & Yeti (TM) restaurant in Animal Kingdom. It has counter service half and also a table service half.

If you don't get FOP fast passes go first thing before park opening - when rope drops go straight there - the queue will say 60mins immediately but it moves all the time so its doesn't feel like a queue - i think we were about 40 mins and we did this twice last summer (it is so good and worth the early start). Maybe do this on first day when you are up at crack of dawn anyway.

Ohana for dinner is absolutely delicious, they have these big skewers of cooked chicken, beef and shrimp and they just keep coming round the tables loading your plate up! You can wander outside onto the beach but afterwards and watch the magic kingdom fireworks across the lake. Magical!

We had a fabulous meal at the Rainforest Café, but OMG the noise. If you have children who hate loud noises then avoid.

Watch the Tim Tracker vlogs if you haven't already, and read the Disney Food Blog website.

My favourites are California Grill, Teppan Edo, Boma, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Hollywood Brown Derby and Yak and Yeti. There's something for everyone though!

Extra Fastpases for Flights of Passage are sometimes released so check sporadically before you go. Otherwise go straight there at park opening on an Extra Magic Hours day.

Plan your Fastpases for between about 10.30 onwards as queues are shorter before then anyway so you may as well wait and use FPs when they're more necessary.

If you want a bit of a break from parks, there's a place called celebration Disney. Has a few nice restaurants, an ice cream shop and a cinema. When i went for 2 weeks about 12 years ago, it was such a nice afternoon away from the crowds. I think it's a residential area for park workers so quiet when the parks are open. Great for if you've got a day out of the parks to go shopping in the near by outlets and big stores, or when you're burned out a bit and want a quite afternoon at the cinema. I'd also recommend getting up early to hit the parks as soon as they open, have lunch and a siesta/lounge by the pools in the afternoon (when it's hottest/busiest) then hit the parks again about 4pm/5pm have dinner and see the evening shows. Blizzard beach is a great water park too. Discovery cove if you want to do the dolphin thing, but also a really peaceful place to relax too.
