Is Siam park (Tenerife) worth it for a cautious 6 year old?

I keep being told we must go to Siam Park (we're going to Tenerife) but dd is quite cautious and doesn't love big water slides or bid rides etc.

It can take her a few days to work up the courage to go on stuff like that (but when she does she loves it and then you can't get her off).

Will Aqualand be better for her? Don't want to bother queuing for SP only to find it's a bit much for dd...

Haven't been to Siam Park but Aqua land is great for DC who don't want the crazy big slides (although there are a few) but still want slides with a bit of a thrill. Good dolphin show too.
Also because all the teens head for Siam Park it has quite a gentle, family feel.

Thanks Avebury, think we might try AL first.

No.
It's worth every penny for thrill seeking teenagers and adults but not for a timid six year old. Even if she were brave she would be too small for most of the slides. There are nice paddling pools but even the lazy river has a scary bit.
I wouldn't go to Aqualand either because I don't agree with exploitation of dolphins.

No it's more for adults then 6year olds

Yes, our dd absolutely loved it. We noticed an increase in her confidence in the water afterwards.
There is a smaller pool with gentle waves and hammocks dotted around which helped her relax at the start of the day. She still talks about the wave machine generator in the large pool, she had a blast (much to our surprise) and would love to go back. I think there were a couple of gentle rides too. Didn’t try Aqualand.

Yes our DS loved it!! Head to wave palace first and reserve your sun lounger it’s a man made beach with a sea and a massive wave that comes every 20 mins or so! Even just watching the wave is mad as it’s so big and you just see and hear hundreds of people being lifted up and then down. We only went on a couple of lazy river trips and then spent the rest of the time there. Our hotel did us a pack lunch as well as we were all inclusive so didn’t have to que ages for food.

I would say yes. We’ve just recently been to Siam park and they’ve opened another area for younger kids with a smaller wave pool and a play area. There’s also the ‘Lost city’ suitable for younger kids.

Please please don’t support places like Aqualand with captive dolphins. It’s really a horrible industry and the dolphins suffer terribly.

Hope you find something nice that your DD will enjoy.

Thanks all.
Swiftier - was wondering how humane the dolphin show could be, not at all I'm guessing...

Tbh I'd be happy with just the beach/pool and give both water parks a miss but weather forecast looks showery so we might need an alternative to the beach.
