Hi, my DH, and 2 kids (5 and 3) are going to dlp at the end of May. So excited! We are off to Versailles beforehand, staying in air BnB with kitchen facilities etc, then staying at the park for 4 days and don't have any meal plan. Need to keep costs down as much as possible so looking for general food tips and also any tips to get the best out of the day. What food do I take? What else should I take? What are the best rides? How to get best out of the day etc? Thanks in advance xx

take water bottles, there are places around the park where you can fill them up.

Join disneyland paris for brits on facebook, they know everything.

There's a McDonald's in the village for cheap and cheerful breakfasts as well as the usual burgers. They sell croissants in their bakery. if you want burgers and chips, it's about €15 for a meal in the parks.

There's also a pasta and pizza place called Vapiano round the other side of the village for when you get fed up with chips and want a change. It's not super cheap but it's good value.

DS went on the buzz lightyear ride pretty much on repeat when was around that age. We managed to work it so we got a fastpass ticket, queued normally, then got another fast pass ticket at the other end before we used the first one I think.

Also, if you shoot the badge on the Zurg's chest instead of the targets, you get 100,000 points. My SIL and I got max points and DH was in awe until we let him in on the secret Grin

Take snacks and have those whilst queuing
Maximise fastpasses
Book restaurants in adva unless you are doing counter service eg macdonalds
Comfy footwear
Maybe hire a buggy for 3 year old it's a lot of walking and they can have a rest or nap
Fantasy land best for little ones
Use baby switch

Stock up with food from the shopping centre over the motorway and if you can eat your meals there. We've been 4 times and only once had a meal plan. Other times we would take a break in the day and drive to the food court. We saved a fortune!

I'm assuming you're driving....Grin

Are you staying on site and do you have a meal plan?

Yes, visit the Auchan supermarket in the Val d'Europe shopping centre, or the shop in the train station if short of anything.

I love the Buzz Lightyear ride too!
