Where to take 15 year old daughter

I'm planning a long weekend away with my 15 year old daughter for her birthday and would like some ideas of where to go.

Short haul as only for a few days. We would like to do a little sightseeing, shopping, eating out, markets, quite laid back but a bit of an adventure.

Has anyone been somewhere they would recommend?

Thank you

I’d recommend Prague. Utterly beautiful and loads to do.

Another vote for Berlin - absolutely fantastic place and perfect for a long weekend.

Barcelona. Easy access to a fantastic beach if it gets too hot.

Or Dublin?

Amsterdam. I took my son at around that age. Easy to get to, very friendly place, lots to see - museums, markets, parks, Anne Frank's house, etc. Great places to eat. We loved it. I also felt very safe.

When would you be going OP?

At that age I'd have loved to go to any big European city. Barcelona could be fun, but I think I'd have preferred Paris or Rome. There's more to do in those cities and Barcelona recently has been in the news for several pretty negative things including the terror attack on La Rambla, locals protesting about the huge numbers of tourists, and they've had a big problem with pick-pocketing/bag snatching for years.

I've done both Barcelona and Paris with my DDs as teens. We had a great time in both places.
