What's the best ticket to buy, and the best place to buy it?

We're going there in 2 weeks' time - not staying in D, but nearby, and planning to visit it 3 or 4 times. Ticket prices are scarey! Tickets for two adults and two children are going to cost more than the rest of the holiday.

The website says some tickets must be bought in advance, only some are available at the gate.

Any tips?

Where did you buy these passes?

Another question -

How practical is it to 'do' Disney with one adult and two young children (6 and 4)?

I checked the websites and Francilien was only for residents of Isle de France until Nov 06. But thanks.

We were at DLP 2 weeks ago. Haven't any advice on tickets I'm afraid, we bought off the official website and paid A Fortune. Shouldn't be a problem with you being the only adult. I took my nearly 6 year old and 2 year old and I think the only ride we couldn't do without DH was the Dumbo ride. It has an enormous queue most of the time anyway and lasts about 3 Min's so you won't miss much. Do make use of the fastpasses but be aware you can only have one fastpass at a time. If you arrive when the rides open at 10am go to the back of the park and work forward to reduce your queuing times. If you get a chance to see the Tarzan show then do try, its a great acrobatic show and a necessary chance to sit down for 20 Min's.

That's true Domesticgrumpess. In fact the Aladdin ride is more exciting with the button in the back to tilt the carpet as well as the up and down button. We didn't queue at all for Aladdin but waited an age for the Dumbo ride. Full of adults unaccompanied by children for some bizarre reason? Really do they not have anything better to do with their time and money then stand in a queue for 20 mins for a 3 min ride on plastic elephant? You will have to excuse the rant, I'm afraid I was born without the Disney gene.

Thanks for these tips, and the link. I'll pass them on to dh. No, I'm not being a feeble female, needing her dh to do all the holiday planning. I'm not going after all - tee hee hee (or should it be "mwahahaha!"?).
