It's a lot cheaper than UK

I don't mind driving over to Germany

We stayed at Erperheide.
Swimming pool fab (although I think they are all of a certain standard tbh)
We didn't bike though, but the website does specifically mention
"Extensive hiking and cycling routes through Bosland, the largest adventurous forest of Flanders" which sounds good I think??

Google maps put the drive at approx 3.5 hours, either through Brussels or Antwerp. Both ways the drive was almost 5 hours as the traffic was bloody awful and apparently normal hence the advice to stay over the night before and get to Calais as early as possible on the way out and suck it all up on the way home.

You can't check in until 3 (I think) but have access to the facilities so pack your swimmers / towels in a separate smaller bag, check in, go to pool and get locker.
We did the same thing on the last day. Packed car, and left swimmers / towels out to use the facilities and then left at about 3ish.

Turn left at Calais and drive for about an hour Grin
It's on the coast and about 20 minutes south of Bruges. It's really flat and there's lots of cycle lanes so just perfect if that's what you like doing. There's not lots of organised activities like Centre Parcs but that didn't bother us.

If you want...we just don't pay the extra to stay on the way home...just power through!
