If you can only do one or two in a week which museums/ art galleries are not to be missed in NYC with teens?

Kids always moan when I drag them round museums and art galleries so don’t want to over do it.That said I know in the long run they appreciate it and some things are unmissable.

Def doing Tenement Building, Ellis Island and potentially 9/11 and Nat History Museum.

Enough or others preferable?

Thoughts on Guggenheim( staying near), Moma etc

I loved the Met - got more out of it by going on one of their free tours as there is so much to see.

Guggenheim - no so much and the spiral design means nowhere to sit down and your feet really hurt my feet always hurt but outstandingly so there

I'd put in a vote for the Frick Collection which is much smaller, outstanding and all in Frick's house which is beautiful. You can also consider how someone got so wealthy as to own all of that personally - Frick was by all accounts a vile human being.

Is it worth doing the NYC Citypass? Seems worth it if you do 4 or more of the 6 on offer....
