Guests coming from Germany with an 11 year old - any suggestions for London meet up?

Hi,

If anyone has a bright idea I'd like to hear it. My brain seems to be on strike. I've lived in London all my life and I can't think of a suitable meeting place!
My partner is German and I'm finally getting to meet his daughter (my age) and her daughter (11) who's the same age as my DD. I think his son (30) and daughter in law will be there too. Plus my son (13)
So five adults, 3 kids, where to meet and what to do?
Thought a restaurant might be boring - but museum type activity too full on.
I usually take friends from abroad to quieter places like kenwood but not sure that's the right thing at this time of year.

Meeting will probably last about 4 hours. Any suggestions?
Many thanks

Science museum? - indoors and doesn't matter if you can read the signs you can just play with the buttons.

I would book a slot for the Eye and another for the London Aquarium meet at the Festival hall for lunch first ,
Always lots to do strolling down the Southbank if its a nice day

What about the Tate Modern? London Zoo? It depends on the weather really as to whether you can get away with an outdoor place without everyone getting frozen or wet. I'd also look for a restaurant - perhaps something quite laid back like Giraffe, where you could go if people are hungry.

Oh, and at the festival hall, have a look as the JCB sponsored singing lift. Totally unique

Do you want to base the meeting around lunch? How about Primrose Hill village? I’d go for Lemonia and post lunch you could wander up Primrose Hill for the view and around Regents Park, or stroll 5 mins into Camden Market and let the kids loose for a bit (Cyberdog a must).

Great suggestions! About to Google the singing lift, never heard of it!
Love Primrose Hill. Often take my own kids to Camden so yes that a good suggestion..

Quick google confirmed that the singing lift is in the southbank centre, the east side of the building.

Who knew, it has its own twitter account
