Discovery cove

Hi. We are booked to go to Orlando in August this year. We are staying onsite so have the Disney tickets, also spending a night at a Universal hotel and have 2 day ticket for the parks there. Had ruled out Discovery Cove, partly because it seemed a bit much to try an fit in, and also because I question the ethics ever so slightly (don't want to go to SeaWorld). However, my 9yr old went to bed last night stating that it is her dream to swim with stingrays. She's never heard of Discovery Cove. So now I am tempted! Its a lot of money, although tip of the iceberg as far as this holiday is concerned. Will more than likely be a one off trip so want to make the most of it. I don't want to do the Dolphin swim. Would it worth paying the money to do the rest of it? Am I going against by better judgement? Bit of a moral dilemma now....

Discovery Cove is amazing and there is plenty to do if you don't do the dolphin swim. I'd go for it.

Pressed “post” too soon! The swim with the rays is great, there is lots to do there for the day and we found it very relaxing

I loved discovery cove. It was so relaxing and beautiful.

We snorkelled, went around the lazy river, relaxed on the beach and drank delicious frozen mango drinks.

Do ask at first aid for the factor 50 suncream, we used the 30 and burned.

It sounds amazing. I'm so tempted. I feel a bit conflicted giving them my money when I wouldn't pay for SeaWorld. Perhaps I should just get over myself?

It’s a gorgeous day.
Expensive but bloody lovely.
August will be blisteringly hot, (40degrees as I recall when we went in August) they prefer to provide you with sun cream that is fish friendly.
Plus you have to wear their dry/wet suits so you are protected.
We loved it.
