We are thinking of staying in two of these three cities. Right now we are comparing flats in each city, but without knowing much about them, it's difficult to decide. I thought I'd start here. Smile

Any idea which are the best neighbourhoods in each city? We are four adults, interested in museums, galleries, exploring neighbourhoods.

Thank you all for your replies. Smile

I have seen the problem with getting a sim card in Germany but I think as we are starting out in Denmark we should be ok. I have seen that I can buy one from amazon but I am wary of doing that as I don't know the sellers. We used 3 sim when we were in London but we bought our cards at the 3 shop in London.

I was in Berlin waaaaaaay back when it was West Berlin, so I am really looking forward to seeing the changes. Assuming I can remember any of it LOL.

We still want to see Amsterdam but think it might a trip for the future and we might combine it with
Belgium.

I've not been able to the other two but they are in my list.

However I visited Amsterdam quite late in life and its an absolute gem! Soooo pretty, so stylish and upmarket and classy! I had such a different idea in my mind from the red light district. We didn't even touch on it, I have no idea where it is.
The vibe of the place was amazing... Smiley people biking around, kids in huge bike baskets... Tons of families picnicking on boats in the evening... Friends, teens having low key boat parties... Very chilled cool people... Great customer service... Quirky in dependant shops... Amazing restaurants.... So much history.. And so unique. I really loved it and found it to be very inspiring place.

I'm probably going to aim for Copenhagen later this year.

We stayed in Vesterboro in Copenhagen, quite near the brewery. We really liked the neighbourhood, could walk or bus into the centre, lots of good (untouristy) restaurants and also near the meatpacking district which was great for food and bars.
