Holiday with plenty to do for active boys

Hi all
I can't decide where to go on holiday and need some help. I have 7 and 10 year old boys who are very active and need to be kept busy all day but the older one is not so keen on kids clubs. They love to swim so obviously want a warm place but would be nice to be near a town with loads of things to do eg waters ports go karting etc.

I'm really snobby so forgive me but I don't want to go to a brits abroad chav hell so somewhere quieter but still with loads to do.
We did euro camp last year and it was so busy! I would like to do an all inclusive resort maybe canaries or baleariacs but don't have any experience of the areas.
Any help greatly appreciated.

No all inc advice, sorry. But the French or Austrian Alps would cater for your 2 boys. There is mountain biking, wild water rafting or even hiking to a glacier and of course conquering those mountain tops (with a cable car!!) .... The little towns and cities are pretty and might even have a spa for the exhausted parents! I know there are plenty of resort type hotels that could give you what you want.
(We are more DIY, Camping or self catering holiday types. )

Unfortunately OP I think maybe AI and chav hell hole go hand in hand unless it comes with an extortionate price tag. Maybe investigate Neilson, Sun Med, Ocean elements or similar. I haven’t tried these as they are above my price range. We prefer a compromise with some activities for the DC to dip in and out of, nice pool, nice beach close at hand, nice food and restaurants close by for ourselves. We don’t like a busy resort/town and prefer somewhere more lazy, laid back and family friendly.

Center Parcs maybe.

Our DC loved Forte Village in Sardinia when they were young, but I think it's become extremely costly.

Oo the alps sound good will have a look.

I think I kind of want it all but don't want to pay for it lol.
We go camping at the beginning of the school holidays but aways have a sun holiday at the end just to have a chill out but the kids don't seem to know the meaning of those words!

Do you have a budget?
Some AI resorts are not chav tastic but are very £££
If budget is lower, many campsites in France or Germany are good for letting off steam and ok for snobby people. You have to choose carefully and make sure you don't go to one targeting the UK market, no Sun holidays etc. They do exist! Smaller ones in the Dordogne or the Loire might work.

Chewbecca · 16/01/2019 20:28

Haha, crossed posted with you saying you do Sun hols and me saying to avoid places where they go!

Neilsons are brilliant for active children.

Have a look at Kinderhotels

Kvec1507 · 16/01/2019 20:43

Someone posted about a diy holiday in Germany which might fit the bill?

user1486076969 · 16/01/2019 20:47

Mark Warner

expatmigrant · 16/01/2019 21:26

Neilson or Mark Warner.

Look at the more premium AI end- but it depends entirely on your budget...
