Does anyone know the best way to book a florida holiday as cheap as possible?

Also best places to book park tickets.

I will be on my own with 2 children and too nervous to consider driving.

Thank you

We used Uber when there. No problem at all

What do you want to do and see. If it’s the parks, there really is no such thing as cheap.

Look at thedibb.co.uk forum loads of knowledgeable advice about Orlando and Florida holidays

Try skyscanner for flights - you can search whole months to find the cheapest days to fly. Consider an indirect flight to see if it saves much money.

Shop around for hotels - try Trivago, Booking.com , Kayak etc. Sometimes it’s cheaper to find a hotel at a price you like, then book directly with the hotel. Consider a hotel that includes breakfast, you can fill up for the day, then you won’t need much lunch!

If you want to save money on food, take your own snacks and drinks to the parks - most will let you take individual sizes of food in - so single pack crisps rather than family size etc. Then just buy the odd ice cream etc in the parks rather than s full meal which can be pricey.

Book onsite when free dining is on. More upfront but then your food and drink is pretty much covered.

Also, consider how much Ubers will cost if your hotel is a long way from the parks.

As a PP has pointed out a Florida theme park holiday can't be done on the cheap. Have you priced up park tickets yet?

Yes it difficult direct flights are a minimum really of at least 500pp indirect 350pp. Park tickets are Disney is 350pp for 14 days universal minimum of 200pp plus hotel realistically it’s difficult to get for much less than 1500pp

We stayed on International Drive and lot of the hotels do a free shuttle to the parks (or it was free to Universal, I think there was a charge for Disney).

We booked through Holidaygems.co.uk it was thousands cheaper then anywhere else, we paid £2400 (October half term) for 4 of us (2A and 2C) for the flights and hotel. The flights weren't direct but there wasn't long waits between flights.

We did 10 nights, and only did the Universal package which included the Univeral Parks, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Wet n Wild. They were about £350 each I think, so felt like a lot of money to be paying out! We booked through floridatix they were the cheapest when I was looking.

I found Orlando by far the most stressful to plan, as you are spending so much money, I almost had a fear of it not living up to the hype.

It was also a very busy holiday, we got to the parks early (they open at 10) as we tended to be up early with the jet lag, and found we were flagging a bit by late afternoon, so we would go back to the hotel and chill by the pool. Out for tea then fighting to stay awake until 9pm!

The only day we didn't head off out to a park early was our last full day, and by then we were knackered. I think we should have had a break day part way through, but there was just so much to fit in.

Saying all that, we loved it, we were all soooo exhausted, certainly not a relaxing break for us, but we made it that way by squeezing everything in. I do wonder how people manage to fit both Disney and Universal in.

Indirect flights were much cheaper when we went a few years ago.
