Hi, this has prob been asked already but I can't find anything recent so don't know if what I've read is out of date.
We've booked to go at Easter 2019, staying at DCR with free standard half board (2 adults, 3 kids) and I'm so confused over how it works and where we can eat and whether we need to pre book anywhere. I also cannot find menus for the restaurants which show what fiod is served, we have a very fussy eater with us. Can anyone help?
Also any tips on best rides or meeting characters (esp Minnie mouse and cinderella) would be appreciated. Thanks.

There's a Facebook page called 'Disneyland Paris for brits' it's literally got 10000s of Q and As and advice on there, it's great.

Also full menus can be found at www.dlpguide.com/planning/dining/restaurant-menus/m/

How exciting! Smile

From what I remember the half board option allows you to have a main meal in various restaurants and you can pay the difference if your meal goes over the value of the meal voucher.

I found this website useful for planning out eating in Disneyland as the menus are available:

It depends what plan you have. If you have the standard half / full board you can eat in the grand plaza., the star, Billy bobs, araghba and your hotel for lunch or dinner.
You will need to. Ring and reserve places though as it can get extremely busy

If you’re going during school hols and want to eat at particular restaurants or times I’d definitely recommend that you book your meals.

Use your extra magic hours too. And use your DCR breakfast to make a packed lunch.

The best advice would be to join the Facebook group with the exact same title as this thread! You will get all your answers plus more on there.

In brief- restaurants can be booked 60 days in advance. Phone number and menus are on the Disneyland paris website. You can also filter the restaurants by food plan level. You can eat at higher levels you just pay a top up price.
With fussy eaters you are best sticking to buffets. I'm standard meal plan restaurant des stars in the studios is very nice and does food most will be happy with.

Regarding characters etc- schedules come out each week with details of which characters you can meet and where.
If you want to meet Cinderella dine at Cinderella's restaurant. You will meet other princesses as you eat too but be warned- it is pricey. The food is not food that would go down well with fussy eaters either but it's worth it to get to meet and chat to so many princesses.

The free standard half board restaurants are all buffets which is why they don't have menus. We found them really good withva really wide choice of food and didn't feel the need to pay to upgrade at all.
Do book in advance. Easter will be busy. Prebooking will make things a lot easier. You may not get a table if you haven't booked in advance or will end up eating at daft times just to get in. You can phone or do it online. I phoned, it was quick and easy and you can select English speaking as your language choice before you speak to anyone. I think you can book 60 days before you travel.
We are at these

  • Plaza Gardens - lovely choice of meats, salads, veg, pizza, desserts etc etc.
  • Restaurant Des Stars - my favourite. Some lovely seafood as well meats, salad, veg etc and an ice cream machine.
  • Cafe Agrabah - Easten food like kebabs, hummus, cous cous. Very nice if you like that.
  • Billy Bobs - ribs, corn etc. Amazing desserts
Definitely join Disneyland Paris for Brits. They know everythng on there. It was really helpful to read their info. Have a great trip!

It’s changed recently, I think now the standard half board lets you have a buffet in some park restaurants, and some of the hotel restaurants, but not one of the Disneyland hotel ones. The buffets are exceptionally varied (there will be something that your fussy eater will eat!) but your half board deal probably won’t include drinks, it didn’t when I was last there. I would strongly advise you book, as there are so many families with children everyone wants to eat at a similar time, and you don’t want to be hanging around. You can most likely book with the concierge at your hotel, or there’s a number you can call in the link below.

You can book a character breakfast which will probably include Minnie, and you can also get a park guide which details where the characters will be. For meeting Cinderella there is the Princess Pavilion (where you can queue to meet whichever princesses are in there), or there is a restaurant called Auberge de Cendrillon where you can have dinner with the Princesses wandering around and meet Cinderella’s mice. It’s pretty expensive though!

Rides wise, The Crush Coaster is my ultimate favourite, it doesn’t go upside down but it’s incredibly fast! I also like Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones and I’ve got a weakness for the Storybook ride...

The website www.dlpguide.com (unofficial but brilliant!) has got menus on it, and this is a link to the up to date (I think) Disney webpage on meal plans

www.disneylandparis.com/en-gb/guest-services/meal-plans/

I hope this is up to date, I have been to DP an embarrassing number of times, but not for a couple of years so I apologise if it isn’t! Blush

I’ve just seen that while I was typing out my novel other people have basically said exactly what I’ve just said. Sorry!
