Can you recommend me a family hotel / accommodation in Marrakech?

Me and DH and DC 12 and 9.

Need nice food and adjoining rooms. Would be going at Easter.

Anyone been?

I can recommend Airbnb, we went there 4 weeks ago.
We liked it because there are 3 restaurants in this compounds (nice food and cheaper than in town) and it was easy to get taxis everywhere.

Since your DC are older I would suggest a riad - but one that provides food on request as it’s a lot easier (and ime nicer) eating in in the evenings than venturing out for every meal.

We stayed in Dar Hanane and it was fab, delicious food, though that was several years ago. They have two rooms that are not interconnecting but share a landing and staircase to themselves iyswim. Also a couple of large family rooms. Beautifully decorated.

We were looking at all inclusive but reading the reviews the food isn't great and we are VERY into food! But wanted facilities for the DC as well as sightseeing etc. Can't seem to find a happy medium.

We stayed at a Riad in the Old Town for a couple of nights then a week AI at the Eden Andalou on the outskirts. Have a look at it - there is a kids club, mini disco nightly and a water park. The food that was included in the AI package was at only one of the restaurants and was buffet fare - there was quite a lot of selection for both me (veggie) and my very fussy DD. I can't claim it was the best food I've ever eaten but it's AI buffet and to be honest from my (limited) experience they are much of a muchness. The rooms were huge and clean with a curtained off area at the end that my DD slept in. It wasn't 5 star luxury but it wasn't grotty either and didn't blow the bank. There was one heated pool but the water in the main pool (we went in May) was too parky for me - though my DD was in it all the time!
