We're planning a couple of days in Paris in the summer with our 5 year old daughter and wondering what's best to do? And a nice hotel to stay in. Haven't been there for years so all comments appreciated! Thanks!

The playground at Jardin des Tuileries is a big hit for kids around five and above. Various spinning, bouncing, and swinging apparatus will keep them occupied for ages. There’s also a carousel, a carnival with a giant Ferris wheel in summer and even the odd goat grazing on the grass.
Jardin de Luxembourg has another stand-out playground with plenty of things to climb and jump on, including metal swingboats and pedal karts, though there is a small cost to enter. There's also a traditional carousel.
Jardin d'Acclimation has pony rides, puppet shows, an enchanted river ride, acrobatic obstacle courses, a petting farm and even an aviary. There's also a place to steer radio-controlled boats and mini golf. Many of the attractions cost €2.90 a go; others are free. A miniature train runs from Porte Maillot through the Bois de Boulogne to the park entrance,.
Jardin Plage is ideal during the summer, allowing kids to cool off with water-themed activities.
Cafe des chats (cat cafe!) is a great place to grab a coffee if you're not allergic to fur!
The Cité des Sciences is a little out of the way. But it’s got to be one of the best destinations for kids in Paris and yours will think it’s worth the effort to get to. We had to carry our howling kids out to rush back to the Gare du Nord and our train home. Suffice to say they didn’t want to leave! In a cavernous concrete block of a building you’ll find the Cite Des Enfants where kids can spend a 90 minute session exploring all sorts of things scientific. There are two options for the Cité des Enfants – one for kids aged 2-7 and on for kids aged 5-12. You should probably buy your tickets online first; when we went there was an enormous queue and we only just scraped in on time.
If you don’t fancy making your way out to Cite des Sciences, you could try the very central Pompidou. Inside there’s a kids’ area, the Galerie des Enfants, which is suitable for kids aged 3+, with lots of interactive exhibits and activities. Also most children just love riding on it's epic escalators.
Every Sunday on Ile de la Cité, the flower market becomes a bird market with parrots, chickens, canaries etc... and the odd ferret or mouse! It's right next to the Norte Dame.

Disneyland. Half an hour by car, less than an hour by train. Great age to go!

@Ricekrispie22 brilliant tips!

Ds (8) really wants to go and see the eiffel tower but I wasn't sure what else there was in Paris for little ones, sounds as though there it a lot. I'm inspired to plan a trip now (maybe after brexit has settled down a bit Confused)
