Disneyland Paris in January

Am I mad to consider Disneyland Paris at the end of January with a 4 year old and almost 3 month old? Part of me thinks it will be magical for the 4 year old and small babies are more portable than little toddlers so if we don't go now we wouldn't go for a few years - but part of me thinks we could be knackered from walking miles in the cold with a whinging pre-schooler and a crying baby!

We live about 2 hours from the Eurostar either by train to London or driving to Ashford so it would be a fairly full on day of travel which slightly puts me off as well. Is it worth it or should I wait a few years?

I did this seven years ago when DD was 2. It was cold, it sleeted the whole time, my feet were freezing and wet and DD was wrapped up in so many layers she looked like the Michelin man. On the plus side it was cheap, there were almost no lines for any of the rides, and every time we bought any food we got a voucher for free hot chocolate.

It will be very cold!

We went in January without children. It was freezing. There was no atmosphere. We were pretty fed up so I can’t imagine doing it now with our young DC!

You live close enough this side to get an annual pass then you can call all the shots and go when it's warmer. Stay off site and drive. All the savvy Disney people do this.

We went in early Jan when DC were 4-5. It was bitterly cold and DC didn't even notice (though your baby might) as they were having such an amazing time. No queues at all. They walked onto every ride and often just got off and went straight in again for the next ride. The shows were great. We loved it. But I do think you are incredibly brave to think of doing it with a new born. I guess if they are bottle fed, you and DP could take it in turns to stay back at the hotel with the baby and go into the park with your 4 yr old.

We took our 2yr old in Jan this year, it was ok. It snowed for 3 days heavily and we were majorly delayed both ways. The park was half shut due to snow. Could not push buggy trough it so had to have him walk or be carried. It was so cold!!! However the rides that were open had no queue and we had fun. So long as It doesn't snow you should have a great time :)

I've been in winter. Honestly it was very cold and wet and I wouldn't rush to go again at that time, as I was literally shivering half the time. Queues were short though! I wouldn't do it with kids that young.

I did it many years ago with my brother and his children.

It was fantastic!

We timed it to still catch the Christmas parades, but the park was virtually deserted, no waits more than a few ministers, restaurants easy to it down in etc.

Yes it was cold, but you just wear appropriate clothing?

Can't think of anything worse than a heaving Disney in sweltering sunshine.

We did it when ours were 3 and 2. It was miserably cold and the kids' faces were blue a lot of the time. Honestly, I'd wait till your kids are older and will get more out of it, and are able to run around to keep warm.

4 year old will get loads out of it

It will be deserted

Wear warm clothes and you’ll be fine
