Davy Crockett Disneyland - where will my 5 yo and 2yo sleep?

We've booked a two bedroomed 'cabin' at Davy Crocketts it seemed the only way we could have a seperate bedroom to the kids. But am now wondering how / where they will sleep. I think the second bedroom has bunk beds - will the top bunk be ok for a 5 year old? Does the bottom bunk have a rail to contain our dd2 which will be 2 years and 1 month! Any experience anyone??

We had a 2 bed cabin. there was a oull down bed in the lounge, 1 double bed in separate room & bunkbeds. Maybe you can use the pull-down bed?

Hi Milli, Do you remember if there was a bedguard on the bottom bunk - or anywhere in the cabin.
And was it good? I've heard some reviews not so good and others saying it was great.
Any tips gratefully received its our first holiday with our youngest and she's into everything!!

Sorry - I can't remember. But we went years ago when DS was about 2 and he survived in botom bunk (was knackered & slept well!).

The site was fine for us, but we didn't use the fab pool as spent all day at the park (only the one open then). There WERE a lot of midges outside, but none got in, may have stopped us having a BBQ - but we ate out anyway (we stopped on way home from a holiday further South for 3 nights).

If I was doing Disney again I would stay there as better for us than a hotel. You drive to the Park, VERY easy direct route, about 10mins & get free parking there.

Your kids will LOVE Disney and not take too much notice of the cabin (which is a caravan with log cladding).

Have fun

We had a 1 bed cabin. But there were bunk beds in that room, as well as the double. The top bunk would be fine for a 5yo. There was no guard on the lower bunk.

We really liked the site, much prefable to a hotel for us as more flexibility. The pool is great. And there are often characters dotted around in the evening, near the bar, and other entertainment in the main square too. We did, however, spend almost all our time in the Disney aprks so didn't really use the site that much.

Rail on top bunk but not on bottom if I remember correctly. In fact I'm pretty certain.

3yo cousin slept on top bunk because it was safer with the rail than the bottom!

will be absolutely fine for 5yo I'm sure

Thanks for help. Sounds like my older dd will be fine on the top then - especially if there's a rail. Not sure it'll be ok for the younger one though without a rail, but hopefully we'll find a way round that.
I am looking forward to it, just want it to go as smoothly as possible .
Did anyone hire a car from hertz. I've seen some posts on other sites saying you can get free car seat hire if staying at disney, but can't find reference to it on any of the car hire sites.

Sorry - we just drove ourselves. Easily driveable from Calais.
