I am in need of some DLP advice! DH, DD (who will be 4) and I want to go early next summer, outside of school holidays. There is currently a deal on where I can get either 1 night or 2 nights free. We want to stay 4 days/3 nights, and the deal means that I can get that for the same price as 3 days/2nights.

Is that a good deal? Am I likely to get any better if I wait? Is there anywhere better to book on price than direct with Disney that I should be looking at?

Also – I could actually get 5 days/4 nights for almost exactly the same price (because we could get 2 nights free if we stayed for longer). I know that it isn’t really ‘free’ as there would be a hefty additional cost for food and drink by staying the extra day. But if we did decide to do that – is there enough to occupy us for that long?

I haven't been to DLP for a few years, but if I remember correctly, they pretty much always have deals on.

If you are going to book direct with Disney, then it's definitely worth going through Quidco as they have 6.5% cash back for DLP at the moment.

We used to go for 5 days/4 nights. I think there is enough to do for that long, or you could always get a train into Paris (the station is next to the park) for one of the days.

How are you travelling? I found that it was much cheaper to book Eurostar separately, rather than booking it with DLP (also use Quidco).

Oh, good tip, @JennyWren! Cashback is a really good shout. I think I am minded to the extra day as well - though not sure DH is!

I just looked back at my Quidco and found that I got £50ish cash back for booking DLP and £9ish for booking Eurostar.

Any idea which hotel you are thinking of? We stayed in New York hotel which was very handy as not too far from the park. So each day we got up early and went into the park for EMH, then at lunchtime went back to the hotel, via convenience type store in the corner of the railway station which seemed to be good value for baguettes etc. Ate them near the lake and then went back to the room for afternoon naps (for all of us)! Then we were ready to go back again at 4pm ish and could stay later that way. It meant we were in the park when it wasn't so busy.

We haven't totally decided yet. New York will be closed for refurb, so that isn't an option. I would love DLH, but just can't stomach the extra cost (another time, maybe!). We would like something a bit 'nicer', as it's intended to be a big family blow-out before DD starts school, so I think it is between Newport and Sequoia. I can't decide whether I think Newport is worth the extra.

I think what is drawing me to 5 days/4 nights is that we wouldn't feel any rush at all, if DD wants to go on It's A Small World 84 times (which she will), then we can do, and if we want to go back to the hotel for a rest (which I will), we won't feel like we're missing anything.

Where do you live ie are you close to access points, euro tunnel, air port etc.
Can you return.
What prices are you looking at.
Personally I feel Disney deliberately befuddles, meal plans etc to swindle more money.
Always check prices agaisnt annual passes, off site hotels (some closer than so called on site hotels).. And see if you can return.
