HAve some time to spend with ds this week and I want to take him out to some new places but have run out of ideas. I also don't have much money but do have petrol in car to get to places.

We usually go to
Zoo
Hengrove Play Park
Museum
Local Park

He goes to softplay once a week with his granma so don't want to take him there. Took him on the Bristol Ferry Boat last week round the docks (he didn't really enjoy it tbh).

Any suggestions (he is 2.8)

I haven't posted this in the local section cos there only seems to be 3 of us in there so far

Not sure where you live in Bristol but how about Blaise Castle - similiar to Hengrove but much prettier setting and the cafe is great!

If weather is nice - catch train to Weston Super Mare - £8.10 return, then very short walk from station to beach.

Our favourite place to visit is just outside of Bristol - Noahs Ark at Wraxall.

Swimming?

Hope you have a great week whatever you choose to do

What about finding a fruit farm and do some Strawberry picking! My kids love this, and you only have to pay for the fruit you pick. The only ones I know of are near Bath so maybe not much use.

Avon Valley Country Park is good, not that cheap but you can spend the whole day there.

If you need a bit more inspiration, try www.ideasforthekids.com and once you've found somewhere you like, click on the "near by" tab to see what else is within 10 miles or so. Useful for keeping the day(s) filled...

Good luck

thanks for that - will have a look.
