Disney Orlando

Is it feasible to do this as a mix of chill out and parks? We're thinking of going for a week at half term. Original plan was the Maldives but that has been canned due to the lack of direct flights. Looking at alternatives Orlando popped up. We don't want seven days of Mickey Mouse though (although our 4 year old might). It has been a tough year and we need some downtime too. All of the holidays seem to come with 7 day park tickets. Can you get tickets for a couple of days?

If you don't stay on site you can buy tickets for however many days you want. Of course just because you have a 7 day ticket if doesn't mean you have to use it every day. Also Disney has 2 water parks which might be a option for spending days chilling out.

Disney can be a bit knackering to be fair, partly because the parks are spread out so it takes time to travel from hotel to parks. If you have a large budget I would stay at a Disney hotel such as the Grand Floridian or Polynesian which are easy monorail rides to the magic kingdom and Epcot. That way you can quickly pop back to your hotel when you want to relax or swim. However I don’t think it is feasible to get a 2 day ticket, it is pretty much as expensive as a 7 or even 14 day pass! Then if you’ve paid that much for the tickets you’d probably want to see all of the 4 parks at least once, plus a water park and Disney springs, not leaving much relaxation time! It’s a great holiday but one you might want to skip this year if relaxation is important to you!
How about a Disney Caribbean cruise?
