My best friend and I and are two little girls who are nearly 2 are coming to Bournemouth for two days and a night.
We are coming next tuesday and I am looking for tips and advice for anything to do in Bournemouth that is toddler friendly.
Especially things to do if it's raining!

Hope somone can help.

Jules x

Where will you be?

If it is raining, the inddor play areas we use are Brewsters at Boscombe Pier, Serendipity Sams in Christchurch, Cappuchinos in Boscombe (free soft play area in cafe, ok for a hour or so). Bournemouth library has a nice children section too. The Russel Coates Museum does arts and crafts but you need to check the days/times. If the weather is nice, my favourite beaches are Alum Chine (nice playground, restaurant and noddy train to Bournemouth) and Southbourne (ditto cafe and playground at Fishermans Walk). The beach by Bournemouth Pier was crowded and dirty last week. In Bournemouth Gardens they have free daily shows/activities for children such as Punch and Judy. Also, the Number 12 bus is an open top bus that goes along the coast from Christchurch park (nice park) to Sandbanks (also good), most children love to go on it.

There is an excellent aquarium in Bournemouth, and if you take the ferry from Sandbanks across Poole Harbour you get to a lovely sandy beach called Shell Bay.

the weather forecast is awful. If you head for Bournemouth Pier you have the Oceanarium, a Wacky Warehouse and the beach. You can also catch land trains from there to Alum Chine or to Boscombe to keep out of the rain and still see the sea. The Pier is near the shops if all else fails. I always feel like apologising for the weather, sorry.
