What toys/activites to take on holiday DC 6 - 9 yrs

We're going on holiday in October (yay!) & just thinking what if anything to take with us.

We're going to Menorca so will need to be fairly light & fit in suitcase etc

We'll be using swimming pool, beach, parks & having day trips.

DD9 & DS6 are great at amusing themselves wherever, but DS8 likes having stuff to do.

Whenever we go to the beach here we take buckets/spades, tennis rackets, frisbee, football & bodyboards etc

I was thinking of taking a frisbee & maybe dive sticks for using in the pool but would love some other suggestions please :)

Also are dive sticks all hollow that fill with water & then sink - therefore light to carry or are they weighted?

We never travel without UNO and Rummicub.

Beach ball - takes up no space or weight and can be used in and out of the pool. If there's a board game the kids will play together without bothering you, take that, however heavy it is!

Dh came home from Aldi with a beach ball lol :)

They like playing chess on the tablet which we're taking. I wonder if there are any other 'board' games that we could download - hmm will look into that. Could take Snakes & Ladders as youngest ds loves that.

We'll take paper, full pencil case, stickers etc as well as a few reading books.

I was reading trip advisor earlier & quite a few comments said that inflatables were often left by previous visitors so don't bother bringing your own so that's a bonus.

We'll buy bucket & spade when we're there.

I'm considering taking badminton rackets & shuttle cocks as they're quite light to carry.

Dobble

We'd take drawing / colouring stuff, sticker books, card games and a few action figures.

I wonder if it's worth taking a small lego set, like polybag size but decant it into a ziplock bag?

Top trumps
Drawing stuff
Tablets (for travel and siesta times!)
Cards
Maybe lego if you think he’d get enough play out of it.
