Help me figure out a good holiday with this impossible configuration

Going for a four day break in September. 4 adults, 6 children. Ages are 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14. What would be good? Beach? Some kind of cool foresty tree house set up? Money isn’t too much of an issue but would just like something that could maybe be fun for everyone (possibly too much to ask!) and also not a million miles from London. Any suggestions?

Center Parcs seems like the obvious suggestion

Mitsufishi · 19/08/2018 20:03

Not center parcs. The other half of the group are quite snobby about organiser fun type stuff Grin

Cottage near seaside eg Lyme Regis with fossils and countryside thrown in or North Norfolk with seals , crabs, countryside and Broads. Rye has lots to offer in striking distance eg Camber Sands and Hastings, a few castles around for rainier days...

You can go and stay at this zoo in Kent! www.aspinallfoundation.org/port-lympne/short-breaks/

Somewhere around the New Forest? Lots of nice walks, Paultons Park for the older children whilst the younger ones see Peppa Pig land and maybe a trip to Splashdown waterpark (it's a bit of a drive but has something for all ages, the New Forest water park is more suitable for older kids). Lots of nice places to eat too 🙂

Langham Lodge, Norfolk. Lovely 5 bedroom property near Holt. There is so much to do in that part of Norfolk.

I can't remember the website but there are various windmills that have been converted into holiday accommodation - that might be fun :)

Or have a look at English Heritage properties or Landmark Trust as PP suggested. Staying in a martello tower, or a gatehouse might hit the spot!
