Will Soya milk explode?

I want to take alpro soya milk abroad with me on a flight. Is this a stupid idea and will they explode in the hold?

I think the pressure could cause it to leak. Can’t you buy when on holiday from a supermarket?

Hairyhat · 16/08/2018 17:37

Thanks Hen but I don't think I can buy it easily when I'm over there.

I thought I would double bag it and put it in my case but wondered if anyone else had foolishly done this and whether they had exploded?

If it is going in the hold it will be fine (veteran soya milk traveller 😂). Just be sure to wrap them in plastic or put the cartons in large zip lock bags just incase they get squashed.

Soya milk is usually easy to find abroad but if you are fussy about your brand then it is best to take it with you.

Which country are you going to? Most do have soy milk.

I'm going camping with no car so would rather not have to carry the weight on a bike. I'm also fussy about the light version of alpro soya.

Also bear in mind it will ramp up your luggage weight as liquids are heavy

I packed 6 single use of alpro soya cartons last year and they were fine, although they are shrink wrapped in packs of 3. We were in Spain, soya products were very easy to get hold of.
