Reviews all look good.

Looks absolutely gorgeous.

Only thing that would concern me was if there were no shops/bars/restaurants in walking distance, which to me is a good mile, not necessarily on doorstep, but you could overcome that by organising yourself and stocking up with food and drink in advance and then it looks like the perfect relaxing break with sea, beach, walks, shadey trees for lazing around under. Beautiful.

If I am honest it looks a bit tatty. I would be concerned about things like whether the water for showers worked ok and if the gas in the kitchen was safe but that is just me. what would it be like if the weather wasn't good?

Getabloominmoveon · 15/08/2018 14:26

It is what it is: a simple beach house. So it looks basic, but you'd be spending most of your time outside, so what you're really getting is the gorgeous location and isolation. If that's what you want it looks perfect!

theunsure · 15/08/2018 14:34

It's too basic for my tastes but I am quite high maintenance about bathrooms

But it reviews well for that type of property. Location wise it is lovely and peaceful by the looks of it which I would love.

If the interior doesn't faze you then go for it! 20 year old me would have stayed there, 40 year old me is a bit harder to please!

It's ok if you want basic and isolation.

Not for me but I can see how it would have an appeal to some.

ImperfectTents · 15/08/2018 14:43

I love it but it appears to be booked fairly solid for the next year

buttermilkwaffles · 15/08/2018 16:42

Looks good overall, but perhaps not as isolated as some people are suggesting, so if that's the main appeal it might disappoint?

eg: "Unfortunately, you are rarely alone here, as the location of the house is very central and also two larger hotels have their beach chairs. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. " (from the review in German.

and from the review by Mona "A beautiful clean beach with crystal clear water! Terrific!!!
The house is located with lots of other summer houses at the street in Cala Liberotto! Our chance was that we where alone and had the beach just for us, what we imagine in summer is quiet different! In Cala Liberotto we found a supermarket with all we needed.
The house has a tiny kitchen corner"

The German review also mentions that "the kitchen is relatively small and unfortunately not very well equipped, " "No toaster, kettle or coffee press / coffee maker" - no toaster or kettle seems to be quite common in European airbnbs/self catering though so this would not really bother me.

Seems to be available most weeks until June next year, but perhaps they have not opened their calendar for those dates yet?

Thanks for the feedback. I actually already booked it but was having doubts. A lot of the reviews appeared around the same time so thought they might have paid for the reviews! Anyway I'm going to stick with it, we like rustic and the fact that it is cheap and on the beach are the selling points for us

I think Mediterranean cottages etc might sometimes be more basic/simple than UK variants because people spend more time outside.

You know, like when people view properties on 'A Place in the Sun' and they dismiss places because they are either poky/dark or there isn't a huge fancy designer kitchen with massive island and aga, but it's dark and poky because there's a great fuck off terrace, outdoor dining space and BBQ that can be used at least 8/9 months of the year and in the warmer months, you'll be glad that there is some protection inside from the searing heat.
