Any advice for packing or activities to book please? Family of 4 in a 3 bed eden premium cottage, kids age 5 and 8. We have booked bikes and ski lessons.
I'd love to do the zip wire but not sure about age range.
Any other good activities for this age or general tips please? We have 10 nights booked- end of August. Thanks!

Thank you ChallyCreaks. Glad I don't have to do mad dash to the shops for them both then. It must be France only then with that pool rule.
I was told by someone in CP Belgium about 2 wks ago - no coal based BBQs as a ban in place currently due to the dry weather and fire risk.
Our electric grill is plan C since there is no oven (plan B), not planning to hire theirs if I can help it.

We have been to both of the Belgian CPs and there were no rules for Men's swim wear. My husband and sons just wore their usual swim shorts

I think the bbq ban is in Belgium only. No restrictions on swim shorts in the Netherlands - I remember in France on holiday last year it was trunks only.

We found the dome too hot and busy, plus drinks are expensive and our kids aren't fussed about the mini disco. We head back to the cottage about 7pm after activities then do tea, bath and bed at a leisurely pace. DH does a bbq for us while I put kids to bed. It's really nice just sitting outside the cottage amongst the trees watching the red squirrels and having a quiet drink!

We’re here! We’ve had a good day swimming and cycling and just bumbling around getting our bearings. I’m regretting not driving though cause we’d have brought more general stuff and more food. DH has just cycled to the next town to do a big shop! A pain in the ass but the on site supermarket is really expensive.

Looking forward to doing the activities this week though and the site is really nice to wander around. Activities aren’t too spread out either like some English centre parcs.

If you have a premium villa I believe you get breakfast croissants/rolls delivered each morning. There was enough for lunch too. Smile

Firenze12 · 25/08/2018 16:34

Yes with the VIP lodges you got rolls delivered!

We’re in a premium, I think it’s just the vip villas that get breakfast. It’s ok, DH survived hauling as much as he could back on the bike Grin and we’ve got flour, eggs and milk to do pancakes like a pp suggested.
