Morning all......just looking some advice. Going on our annual holiday at end of August but this time we have our 14week old daughter with us and she is bottlefed. What is the best way to sterilise her bottles, I have decided that I am just going to bring the ready made formula but am concerned about the washing and sterilising of her bottles......also as a back up I will bring the powder formula but what water can it b made in?? Thanks in advance everyone

Where are you going ? In Europe and in fact most countries the tap water is subject to strict regulation so boiled tap water is the best option. We took Milton and a tub for sterilising when needed but that was donkey's years ago now

You should be able to order the formula to pick up airside OP.

Will you have access to a microwave as you can buy sterilising bags for the microwave. Will you have access to a clean sink and clean water to wash the bottles with?

Is there a fridge if you want to store opened, ready made formula?

To avoid a tummy upset, you'll probably want tomake up formula using bottled water instead(and yes, it still needs to be boiled and cooled first!) Look for a brand with less than 200 mg of sodium (Na) and less than 250 mg of sulphate (SO or SO4) per litre.
Try using cold-water sterilising tablets or if you'll have access to a microwave, bring along a compact microwave steriliser. If you're into more minimalist travel, you could always opt for disposable, pre-sterilised bottle liners and teats.
If you're out for the day, take a flask containing just-boiled water. This will keep the water hot for about four hours. Take some small sterilised containers, each holding the required amount of formula powder to make each feed. You can then make a feed easily, by adding the water and powder to a sterilised bottle.

Milton sell purpose made sterilising bags and tablets. Or you could just take a Tupperware container and Milton tabs. Depending on where you are going just make bottles as normal.

MAM bottles are self sterilising in a microwave.
Milton tablets in a tub probably the easiest option, just change it every 24 hours.

This advice might not go down well here but sterilisation is not the norm in some 'developed' countries e.g. USA... I always sterilised in the UK but I took my second abroad (to Turkey) when he was tiny and I didn't... I did have access to a dishwasher which obviously washes things with very hot water. Baby was fine. I know all babies are different (mine have travelled/lived abroad a lot and therefore had to switch formula etc and we were very lucky to have no issues with this).

Also if you have access to a hob you can sort of 'steam' your bottles in a pan. Not sure it fully sterilises but it's better than just a wash.

Aware this advice is not for everyone and I know we tend to want to follow the advice of our own country. Just putting it out there.

Have a fab holiday
