Is my DD to old to bring a buggy for holiday?

So we are due to go on a 10 day summer holiday in 3 weeks time, was chatting with some friends about our plans etc and happened to mention that I was bringing a buggy for my youngest who just turned 4 in April. They were shocked I'd bring a buggy for a 4 year old. They said she's far to old I'd have everyone looking at us and judging.
I genuinely didn't think this was a big deal untill they said this.
Where we are going has water parks and theme parks which we intend to visit, I thought the buggy would have been essential for these?
Does anyone think she's too old for the buggy? It's not like she's going to be strapped into it 24/7 just there as a fallback if her legs get tired with all the walking!

I would take it for all the reasons already given - also if you're having a mooch about in the evenings and go out to eat they can sit in the buggy if they get tired and you can have a drink and relax
