We have a 6 year old ds and a 3 year old dd. Can anyone recommend some good books on cd/ audio CDs to keep them entertained on a few longish drives we ll be making over the summer please?

Not heard of killer cat. Will check it out. We did most of the Roald Dahls last year...

The CD we have is 2 stories: I think they’re called Diary of a Killer Cat and Tales of a Killer Cat.

Some of the David Walliams ones are good too but think your 3yo will be too young to understand them.

We also have a CD we bought when we went to a kids comedy show which is very funny but we bought direct from the comedian. The children think it’s hilarious.

Ooh I’m all over this, after driving to France a couple of weeks ago!

Most popular by far was the Ade Edmundson recording of Cat in the Hat. Second popular are the They Might Be Giants’ kids CDs - Here Cone the 123s etc (these are brilliant).

The Wombles also went down quite well with our 5-yr old, although 3-yr old less impressed. Percy the Parkkeeper was good but they already know the books.

Mr Gum! Entertaining for the adults too. We've had them for years and even now i sometimes tune in to what is being said and hear something funny i haven't heard before.
