Travelling around Paris

DD is going to Paris next week, flying to CDG and staying in Paris itself. she will be visiting DLP while she is there.

Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of travelling around by RER and metro? Is it a cheaper to buy a 5 day Paris Visite Pass? She will be travelling between the airport and Paris and also Paris and DLP, plus random journeys around Paris.

Check the Ratf.fr website it gives really good info in English if you click on union jack on first page. To go from airport is just over 10 euro each way. I think she would be better with a 5 day Paris travel pass for zone 5 this covers airport each way not sure about Disney but think it does. This costs 68.50 euro and can be bought at CDG

Sorry Rapf.fr website. Plus the 68.50 ticket does cover up to Disneyland.

Slightly off topic if she's under 26 and an EU citizen then national museums such as Louvre similar are free but she'd need her passport with her to prove it.

When we travel across Paris we buy a 'carnet de dix tickets' for about €15, I don't think you could get as far as DLP and possibly not from the airport (although I believe the rer goes that far, but i'm not sure about zones,...), but you can use the tickets on the metro, the rer and the buses.

Thanks for the replies. I have done a bit more research and for what she wants to do it will be cheaper to buy separate rail tickets and a carnet for the metro.

I didn't know about the Louvre etc, so thank you for this tip
