ALDI Sun Lotions Any Good?

Hello all,

DS is off to Spain to go hiking with a few of his friends from university. He's got everything else sorted but has asked if I could get him some sun lotion (I've made him promise to get my a fridge magnet in return!)

Has anyone tried the ALDI sun lotions and could tell me if they're overly greasy? I can see they've got a 5 star rating and they do 50+ which is great for him but I know he won't be too keen to put it on if they're very greasy.

I used the clear spray on one whilst on holiday a couple of months ago and didn't find it greasy at all.

I used the factor 30 a few weeks ago. It was fine.

We use the factor 50, I don't find it greasy and seems to rub in well. But I haven't used any other brands recently to compare

They are my preferred ones to go on holiday (prefer Piz Buin 24 hour at home when running about) - find they go on really easily.

I use the factor 50 and its great. However because of the heatwave, my local Aldi are all sold out of sun cream. Have been for the last week. Tried 3 Lidl yesterday and they were the same. So plan ahead if you're needing it soon OP if your shops are anything like mine!

I live in city so I’m hoping they’re not sold out but I’ll have a look today. If not, it’s in stock online so I’ll get some for him there.

He’s off in a couple of weeks so for once he’s given me a little time to find bits and bob’s he’s missing!

I'm pretty sure it's repackaged Nivea. 2 out of 5 of us react to it with a spotty rash (but they do to lots of creams) the rest of us are fine with it.

I found the Aldi creams were good and did their jobs, however I found they were particularly bad at staining our swimwear and clothes .

I'm sure they are voted the best In terms of protection.

I also think it's very good, and have used it for a couple of years - and it is very affordable. But it can stain white clothes, as a pp had commented.

We use Calypso from Aldi which is great. Cheap and only apply once a day so great for teens who can’t be bothered. Also it’s not greasy
