How to do Disney Paris cheaply

Hi. My Dsis would like to take her 5 year old DD to Disney Paris from Manchester. She's a teacher so it has to be school holidays unfortunately. Does anyone have any top tips to cut the costs a bit. Her exH will pay but wants them to stay in a Disney hotel for 3 nights. I can't seem to get it for less than about £1220. Help!

Don’t. Go to Legoland in Denmark - amazing or try Six Flags in Holland, even better.

Ha! I agree. Hated Disney but her ex is providing the £££ so his DD can go to Disney

Are you looking to fly or Eurostar/eurotunnel? Ate the prices you're finding including all food/accommodation/park tickets and travel?

It can work out cheaper to just get half board in a hotel, you get breakfast on the park, then just take loads of snacks and have a cheaper tea?

It also sometimes works out cheaper to buy everything cheaper like tickets through attraction tix I think it's called, hotel directly, then travel directly.

There's a brilliant Facebook group called Disneyland Paris for Brits who should be able to give you more info, as we've only been once and booked everything through a travel agent.

We drove, Eurotunneled, stayed at a campsite 40 mins away (Berny-Riviere) for a week. Spent 1 full day at Eurodisney (booked on the the French site which is much cheaper) and the rest of the time seeing Paris (by train) Rheims, Champagne and generally chilling. Cost less than £1k total for four of us in May.

Following
I really want to take my DS to Disneyland and when I priced up a fortnight in Orlando (I knew I could never afford it but was curious of price), I thought that just a few days to Paris would be much more doable... turns out it's still ridiculously expensive Sad

whiteroseredrose · 16/06/2018 21:32

I'm assuming she wants to fly as she's in Manchester. London's a bit of a hike esp with a 5 year old. I might suggest booking very early for Easter instead.

We drove and stayed in Davy Crockett. Still a Disney accommodation but cheaper than the others. We went in term time though.

We drove, ferry crossing, camped at Etangs Fleuris 20 mins away. Bought 3 day passes at the campsite as they were cheaper. Did a week for a grand in school hols. Caught the train into Paris and had a day out there too.

Figgygal · 16/06/2018 21:36

I've been looking at this too for October half term it's crazy money but tips seem to be magic breaks or book direct

Flying and transfers seem to double the price we looking at £1200 for 2 children 2 adults from Bristol to Charles de Gaulle we will go Eurostar from ebbsfleet if we decide to go

Anasnake · 16/06/2018 21:36

We drove from Manchester too

ineedabagformyhippo · 16/06/2018 21:38

If her exH is paying why does it matter?? Enjoy the nice hotel ☺

Figgygal · 16/06/2018 21:40

I don't think there is a way to do it cheaply tbh

MagentaRocks · 16/06/2018 21:41

Have a look on superbreak. They do DLP

tillytoodles1 · 16/06/2018 21:43

My daughter works for MagicBreaks. They specialise in Disneyworld Paris. She came back from a trip last Wednesday and loved it. Why don't you ring them? I'm not touting for business for her, I don't know her work number.

Screaminginsideme · 16/06/2018 21:44

Don’t do Disneyland Paris it will spoil your view of what should be a magically place. It really isn’t

PeonyTruffle · 17/06/2018 02:09

I'm leaving for Disneyland Paris in 3 hours Grin

We are only an hour away from Folkestone so driving and going via Eurotunnel (although I know that's not an option for you) and staying at Davy Crockett to keep the costs down.

We booked with Magicbreaks and I would definitely recommend them

whiteroseredrose · 17/06/2018 07:07

Thank you for the tips. It is much cheaper to drive as they have an offer with a free ferry crossing. However DSis would be traveling solo and its a long drive without someone else to provide snacks as you go along.

Next Easter at Davy Crockett looks like an option. I'll check out magic breaks thanks.

That’s your opinion screaming, plenty of others, myself included, disagree. The op asked for advice on how to do it cheaply not opinions on where else to go.
