6 hours in Paris with kids

Actually more like 8, but will have to leave lots of time to go from one station to another and leave bags in left luggage which I hope exists?
7 and 9yo have never been to Paris before. Obvious destination is Eiffel Tower, but the website isn't very helpful - it doesn't say how many steps there are to the first floor, nor whether you still need to queue/get tickets in advance. It also offers discounts for people with disabilities but then says you aren't allowed above the first floor? (I can walk fine but can't stand still, among other issues)

I'm guessing a couple carnets for the Metro, but where should we go? Will need dinner before our train - can people recommend a creperie or a laid-back bistro type place? Ds has autism so somewhere he could eat an emergency snack we've brought if he panics at the food, would be good.

We had one day in Paris (my son has ADHD so similar but different issues). We did the hop on hop off bus which was fab. Got off by the Tour Eiffel did pictures but didn't go up it. We'd planned to eat at a creperie by the Pompidou (had planned to go up the escalators inside but it was shut) so just ate at a cafe somewhere instead. We got to see all the sights and had a fab day (and came back with two giant Eiffel towers obv!) Smile

Thank you! One child gets bus-sick so we'll be using Metro and walking, but hadn't thought of the Pompidou - never been there.

Jardin de luxembourg is beautiful park with amazing play area in it.

Le Vieux Bistro is really nice - look at TA recomendations on it.

Eiffel Tower has very long but moving queues when we were there but the kids loved it (7 and 5 yo)

The Batobus is good to tour up and down and Seine, you can hop on and off at key landmarks and it’s also good for a sit down throughout the day.

We wanted to go to the Louvre to see the Egyptian stuff - it was shut on the day we went to Paris (Tuesdays) but got lunch from Gosselin m.gosselin.paris and ate in one of the Louvre courtyards which was nice.

Sacre Coeur and get the little train up and down?

Montparnasse tower much much quieter with far less people than the eifel and has a lift up, also a cafe and a roof top viewing area with sketchs of the view telling you what each building is which is useful when looking at things.

I also really think that the metro stop at the top of Champs elysee is really amazing when you pop into daylight and there right there is the massive arc d'triumph.

My ds who loves cars and motor racing loved the stroll down the Champs elysee as some of the shops have Le Man 24 Heur winning cars in.

You can prebook ticket for the Eiffel Tower but you have to be there at that time, there are lifts to take you up I was there last year and don't remember climbing stairs to get to the lifts (but maybe I just can't remember)

A river boat cruise along the Seine just at the Eiffel Tower is amazing.
You can walk from the tower to the Champs Elysees it's a lovely walk, at the top of that is the Arc.

But tbh 6 hours isn't that long so you might find you don't get a chance to see or do as much as you'd like.
