When to eat?

MN's bit of advice needed please. Going on holiday in September when ds will be 15 months old and I'm a bit concerned about how this will affect his routine. At the moment he has dinner at 5pm, bottle and bath at 7pm then bed 7.30pm. When we're on holiday should I stick to the same mealtimes or do you think it would be possible for him to eat a bit later, say 7pm, 7.30pm, so we can all eat together, or is this too late? If this is too late then would it be better to fed ds earlier then we eat once he is asleep? I know this may sound really trivial but it's our first holiday abroad as a family and I just want everything to go well.

Can you give him a light tea at 5 then let him nibble at the table as you eat. How far are you travelling ?

Just going to tenerife. Thought along those lines myself LIZS, give him some kind of snack at 5 then dinner later. Just don't want to upset the wee lamb.

Did that work ok Muminfife, cause that sounds like a really good idea. Did you stay out for a while and let ds sleep in his pram?

That sounds lovely. I would love it if ds manages to stay awake and eat with us. I know it's a long way off but i'll let you know how I get on. Really appreciate your helpful posts ladies
