I take my 3yr old ds to the library, swimming, playcentre and the local (big)park.Where else can we go and what other stuff can I do with him?
Is it just my ds but he has suddenley started to get really bored if we are at home.He used to play so well and woul keep himself so entertained bt he now gets really nauty and destructive.

Garden centres can be good if they have lots of outdoor space, have a pets corner, aquarium/fish etc. They usually have a cafe too so you can stop for a coffee and cake.

Feeding the ducks at a local pond or river?

Are there any local museums? 3 is a good age to take them and they are usually free. If not there are always the local art gallerys

Don't just watch the trains, get on one! Bus rides are fun too when you don't have a pushchair.

Is he at pre-school/playgroup at all yet? My DD was like this just before she started, I felt I was turning her into a nagging old lady! Or if he starts school in September, most boys start getting more 'boyish' the summer before, there's a testosterone surge apparently around the age of 4.

Where do you live? The farm / city farm can be a good bet, especially at feeding time.

Are your little ones too big for softplay? I run my son ragged in the monrings at the local softplay centre and then we can have nice quiet, indoorsy afternoons as his lust for tearing around like a nutter has been sated.

You could try www.IdeasForTheKids.com. It is still in beta but says it is the most comprehensive source of places to go and things to do with kids in the UK.
