Child with chicken pox on photo?

Hi all, we travel in 4 weeks and are applying for our children's passports this week (I know we've left it late), and my youngest is at the back end of having chicken pox! Does anyone know if they'd accept a photo of him with them on his face? I phoned the passport office and they said as long as they aren't covering his facial features they'd more than likely accept it, but we don't have time for the rejection. Our other option is to wait while next week and hope most of the spots have gone and do the 1 week fast track application. Anyone with any experience of this? Thanks Smile

Try using concealer on the worst spots.
there must be loads of passports renewed by teens with acne - they can't refuse all those.

Can you get someone to photoshop it before printing?? Might be hard to find the skills....

I would do the one-week renewal now with the pox photo. If it’s rejected you’ll have time to send a new photo in.

It says in the notes not to alter skin tone unfortunately! If we have to send other pictures in for the 1 week application will we get charged again?

Surely most women have make up on for their pictures. I don't wear it so don't know what others do, but I can't imagine some going without.

We didn't fast track DS's last year in July and it only took 4 days. I'd wait a week then send it in with a clear pic.

Dd2 has severe eczema and had a flare-up for her passport photo so was all red and crusty - you could still clearly see what her features were, and haven't had any issues. They change in looks so much when young that they're never going to look perfectly like their photo in a year's time anyway!
